I'm at 400 feet above sea level and running Dynajet 340 mains with needle on 4th clip and runs like a champ. I have a 99 shee with stock carbs

dajogejr
BrianEB... These guys are right on...I've had K&N's on the back of stock carbs for quite some time. These boys are running aftermarket pipes, too...that's why their mains are up over 300. If you have stock pipes...you wont' go that high. I'm in MI too...you can see my mods in my sig, and it works great. I sometimes switch between my K&N pods and my Toomey 2:1 foam filter ...same jetting. I'd say without knowing the rest of your mods, taking into consideration you probably have aftermarket pipes...you'll end up in the lower to mid 300's with your main on stock carbs at our elevation. If you think removing your airbox makes a difference....get your flywheel lightened and a +4 timing advance plate....even more so!
