chase@miamiatv.com
id be skeptical of anything , the dynos that say there givin off 90 hp + are runnin methanol or alchahol which adds alota power I THINK ...... i know someone runnin a trex ( breidy ) on here met him locally and hes putting out 97 hp with hell of mods and runnin methanol . I personally would just be skeptical of those dyno results ... they probly built the bike for that one dyno run and thats it ... expect between 65 -85 hp with a cub ... not the 90 - 120 they claim

23champ
You will prolly be in the mid 70's by just boltin them on. To get the power out of cubs you need to go with at least 34mm carbs and a good set of pipes! As far as stock stroke goes...I've seen dyno sheets on Planet sand with drag ported cubs puttin out over 100hp. You can acually get the about the same power out of a stock cylinder set up, but it will cost about as much in porting that you can buy the cubs for. After maxing the stock cylinders out, they wont be as reliable as the cubs. Don't be fooled by the skeptics...cubs are no joke!!
bkabina
There is a reason the T-rex cylinders have alot more port work to put out the numbers too.The cubs and cheetahs have a way better port lay-out.

rocketboy
never saw a dyno posted of less than 78rwhp on stock stroke cubs ,have see n as much as 108rwhp on stock stroke cub on alky and drag ported ,expect around 80 with a clean up port and maybe 90 with an agressive style drag port ,its so true the cubs are no joke ,even my ported stock stroke cub runs like a scalded dog on crack add a 4mill stroker cran k and get an easy 10 more ponies than that also cheetah cubs and trex cylinders arent anything alike ,theres nothing to be skeptical about... the cubs are badass motherphuckers the trex are old school like rabbit ears on your tv and really need worked over to hang Edited October 27, 2005 by rocketboy
locogato11283
i cant imagine even runin t rex cylinders..have you ever felt how heavy they are?? its rediculous..and the pistons weigh a ton as well..if u ever get a chance to feel the difference do it..piston prolly weighs 2 times as much as regular piston.. DIABLO BANSHEE
thanx for all the replies,i do alot of dune riding as well as some trails, i love the motor i have know, but it's really sensitive, anyway i'm looking to get alittle more power and still be reliable, how's the bottom and mid on the cubs? and will they react well with a mid range port, or due they just need a clean up? The low-end on my shee is better than anything stock I've ridden, regardless of mods, in fact it's not even close. I didn't realize how non-existent my low end power was, at any stage of modification, till I tried these out.
