2 Into 1 Carb Setup

Recommended Posts

Probably already been posted a million times, but I like getting a discussion going.

I've heard good things about the Trinity Racing Carburetor 2 into 1 Stage IV, any other suggestions?

I think I need to buy some new carbs anyways, so I was thinking it might be easier to go with the 2 into 1.

Does it give any power gains anywhere, or does it just make tuning more convenient?

Any input and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if anyone has a used one for sale, I might just take it off your hands.

Thanks guys

I run the carb , its good for mx engines , stock engines , or lightly modified engines . it obviously makes tuning a hell of a ease. however if you plan to do SERIOUS motor work i wouldnt run a single ... however if you decided to run two carbs down the road cuz you added a stroker etc... you can always just buy another 35kehien to match the one on the kit and just bolt those two up.

adds more power for me . what does everyone else think

just playing around ,they are mad out of the hole, but they peter out on top.i am from the school nothing single should be on a banshee, not carbs, not pipes, not even the toomey air filter.anything a single carb can achieve, can be done with 2 carbs.yes even the bottom end.those that have them love them.

Damn, one for the 2 into 1 and one for the double.

Looks like I'm gonna have to do some more research and see what everyone else has to say.

Thanks for the quick responses.

The 2-1 is a huge improvement over stock carbs. For duning and playing around I think they are great. For drag racing you have to have two carbs. Just depends what you want to do with your bike. I'm willing to give up some top end to have that "get out of the hole" power. Most racing out here in the dunes is so short you never get to the top end.

what dunes are you racing in? generally duning is more of a top end environment.

How many dunes do you have in Georgia? :P Out here most of the racing is just up the bowls which are no more than a couple hundred yards. 4th or 5th gear is about it. Nothing like the flat drag racing pinned in 6th stuff. Plus we have a lot of tree shots that are maybe 50 yards max straight up where you need that low end to get up and moving fast. Top end doesn't do you any good without room to get there.

If you are out just cruising the open dunes then top end is nice to have but my bike tops out around 78mph which is way to fast bouncing across choppy sand.

Nice, thanks for the info guys. To tell you the truth, I'm still not sure what I'm looking for. I want that top end because I like to go as fast as possible whenever, I do a lot of illegal pavement cruising :P At the same time, though, I want to get to that speed the quickest possible. :shrugani:

I think someone changed the topic from general discussion to repairs and mods, if that's even possible. Thanks though, I couldn't make up my mind which topic it should be under.

same page buddy , bike hits around 90 mph give or take 5mph and i have minimal work doen ........ 30 over , mx port , 2 : 1 , timing , pipes , whatever bullshit i forgot ..

i personall think two into 1 is better and easier for your skill ./ type of machine setup. and you will not loose alot of top end . infact not much at all ... what im trying to say is its not going to make your bike slower
