PLEASE GIVE ME URE 2 cents

Recommended Posts

here are my plate that I took out over the weekend. the one on the left are burnt while the ones on the right appear to be good. The left side was closest to the motor they burnt the worst. The friction plates looked alright but 1 or 2 near the motor side. I just got done rebuilding the motor, the cable was worn not allowing me to get it adjusted right, I think that's why it burnt..

hope this helps... <_<

ps those new pics you have it does look like the friction plates are smooth as a babies ass..

I say change them..

If it was a brand new clutch 3 rides ago, maybe you should have tried to 'break it in' a little bit or something, not go crazy and just drop it all the time. Like you said all you were doing is burnouts and drag racing and dropping the clutch, that's alot of wear on a brand new clutch. Maybe you should have done an hour or so of going slow, going thru the gears, breaking everything in. Did you soak the clutch plates in oil over night before you installed them? Not trying to start a pissing match you asked for our 2 cents. Also what type of oil were you running the crankcase? and how much. Were all the springs and center adjuster all down to spec?
