Rescuejeff
Hey I got a question for you folks out here. I have a older banshee, 1989 and I'm replacing water seal, bearing and impeller just for insurance. I have looked at the all metal impellers, but worried about wear to the side case and what the floating parts form wear are going to cause in the seal and loading up the raditor. I would like to hear from anyone that has had good and bad experiences from the swap. Thanks
reded
The aluminum impellers are the only way to go.

Rescuejeff
But no answer on whether I need to worry about additional wear to the case and if the floating particles in the anti freeze pose any risk?? Thanks
bansheeryder_69
The aluminum impellers are the only way to go. 416117[/snapback] WHAT HE SAID. Just drain your antifreeze every spring and refill it. I've never heard of them causing blockage in the radiator? WTF.

Rescuejeff
No I don't have a PM, thanks for answering my question as you all answered it very well. I will just drain and flush each year.

DIRTMAN350
Nothing but good luck with my aluminum impeller here. I do not flush my cooling system each year and coolant looks good in my 98 shee. Alum water pump impellers are the only way to go for longevity.
