Ricky Stator Adjustable timing plate

Its really easy to install the Ricky Stator, the hard part is getting to it.

You NEED a flywheel puller, dont dick around without it.

You might have to grind down this little section down to make it fit, but that was easy.

If you can, and you should, get a clymers manual. You'll reference that book more than you think, its worth the investment. Anyways, it has good pics and descriptions, it will get you to the stock plate, then its only a matter of 3 or 4 screws and you can swap the plate out, set the advance to the split in the case, reverse process, and wa-la  ! Ask around BansheeHQ, someone might have their own pics to share with you to help you out.

It's soft aluminum...so, if you have a die grinder and a scotchbrite pad, that'll work just fine.

I hit each of the 3 mounting spots on the plate for about 5 to 10 seconds each...fit like a charm.

Nice thing is...once it's all back together, you don't have to take off the flywheel to adjust it...just get a quality open end wrench, loosen the bolts a turn or so...and tap the edge of one of the ears with a wooden or plastic handle...

Coupled with a lightened flywheel, it's a great mod!
