DUNEDEMON
This time around I think I will be going with custom creations A-arms, they have an amazing Heime-Joint Style Ends. I'm not sure what they are called but it look WAY Stronger than a heim join does and felt VERY solid when I had them in my hands at the sand show. What I liked here is that they appear to also be great quality compared to pro-comps and come with a joint superior to Heimes they also come with Tierods with a billet housing that look trick. I also like the fact that they were adjustable while installed on the bike and don't need to be removed to make the adjustments. 416569 Here they are...... Justintoxicated
hmm those dont look adjustable to me but they sure as fuck look good..i like the stiffbacks on the bottom of those arms..those the same ones you are runnin right DD??? 416719 What appears to make them adjustable is that the heim is not bolted right into the A-arm, the nut on the opposite end should allow the camber to be adjusted while install on the banshee. This makes it so you don't have to take the A-arm off to make the adjustments like the Quicksand. According to most people on here thats no big deal, just need to set it once, but thats what I ment. Similar to the Pro-Comps, but a Way Stronger design in the Heim type joint itself. They do not have Castor Adjustments. Any pics of Billet tie rods that come with them? rebelbanshee2
Dont see how those can be adjusted either. The encapsulated bearings are like what Roll and gibson use, they work pretty good
Redlined
I must be missing something. I'm not seeing the adjustability
Justintoxicated
Yea I think you guys are right...not adjustable I was thinking incorrectly... Oh well I guess I'm getting them anyways ...Hopefully the Camber will be set correctly!
RNBRAD
How is the spherical end of the heim placed in there? Can you replace it once it gets worn very easy? Just curious. They look trick!!
DUNEDEMON
The arms alignment settings are not adjustable. They are fixture welded at -1 deg camber, and +8 deg caster, excellent settings for sand & recreational riding, MX guys would probably want to be able to adjust their settings, but theese arms were not designed for them. Spherical bearings (made by QA1) sit in the female portion of the "cup" and are secured on the non load side with a large snap ring ( bearing and snap ring are replaceable) Fell free to ask any questions you may have and I'll do my best to answer them, or call Kevin @ Custom Creations ATV (909) 388-2887 The arms shown above are my personal set, and Kevins first working prototype, starting their second season on my bike with zero issues. I did have some trouble with the initial hardware / spindle stud design loosening (old design shown in the photo), but we have since re-desinged the part, and I've had smooth sailing ever since. EDIT: this is the only picture I could find that showed the tie rod sleeves. Edited September 20, 2005 by DUNEDEMON
