HOW TO TO A WHEELIE ON A BANSHEE

Recommended Posts

I was looking at buying one that has been fliiped twice from doing wheelies. He had to replace the grab bar. Maybe i should stay away from that one.

yeah you can grab a grab bar of a banshee with your hands and twist it and whatch the subframe move. i mean it does it real easy compared to other makes of quads.

Practice, practice, practice and when you've mastered that more practice.

Have one of your friends lift the front of your banshee up to the balancing point. (gas off) then sit there for a while getting the feel of where its at. Drop the front end down go out and start rolling then get to the front of the powerband, preferrably in 2nd gear, and get on it bringing the front end up then try to get to the balancing point (this may take some practice) and try to keep it there without revving the shee up too high or going over backwards. Thats how I ride my wheelies.

with a modded banshee (380cc,etc.) "flooring it" will usually have an end result of you on your ass, and that blinging shee all torn up. :yank:

can you really wheelie in 4th gear without the clutch on a stock banshee? i find that hard to believe.

theres a BIG diffrence between riding a wheelie and "poping" a wheelie. i thought jamming it in second was an awesome wheelie, the whole 2 seconds i had the front end up. just practice and practice, you will get the feel. you NEED to have a banshee at like 11 o' clock to balance it, this is the only way you will be able to do a good one, and it is scary to do at first. when your at 11' you hardly need to give it gas, just blip it every 3 seconds or so, if i get it up perfect i can go for a while with no problem.

you have to get traction without it, it wont come up no matter how big a boi you r.im 5-3 155lbs. i wheelie in second(not any more 6in extended) drop air pressure in the rear tires and try it.

one mo thing once the bike comes up shift your weight to the center of the seat to get your balance point and use the rear brakes.

I can just pull small short wheelies in the sand. The bike comes up real easy with paddles, it's just that I get scared and have to drop the bike back down. Don't want to dump it. How can I control that better?

On your way down still give it throttle so it wont hit as hard.

Find a slight hill on some good ground with traction. I've been practicing slow ones. I've got it mastered on the Blaster to where I can really creep it and even balance at a dead stop but the banshee is harder. I just rev it and pop the clutch keeping my foot near the rear brake. It jumps up so quick when you dump it at the right spot. Then once you find the balance point you have to work back and forth the gas/clutch and the rear brake for when you get too high or past the balance point. It's harder on the Banshee because it comes up so quick and like falling back out of a chair your natural reaction is to grab the rear brake.

Far as fast wheelies, just find a good little bump and keep the RPM high (or in the pipe) right before you hit it bring it up and ride it -more gas if she's low -less if your about to bust your ass.

I see some people stand up on there grab bar and peg but I only do it when no ones looking. too gangster for my redneck ass, I like the good ole lazy boy style

good luck and get someone to take some pictures.
