Virtualbat
check your compression. also check and see if you are getting spark. The gap on the flywheel to the generator should be .0010. did you try to push/pull start it?
MonkeyBoy
Also have your coil checked. Mine ran intermittantly before the coil finally died.
RATBIKE0130
Try pushing the throttle in 1/8 of an inch or so and hold it there and kick it. If it will start like that someone forgot to disable the throttle switch portion of the TORS.

Virtualbat
i just got the ricky stator with timing plate and have had no probs. they even sent it out fast. ordered it on a monday and got it that tuesday. maybe the pickup coil wasnt gapped right and that is why it didnt work. hope you have better lick with them in the future.. brugal
Sounds like the problem is how its being put back on the shee.Ricky Stator is known mainly for two things, timing plates, and STATORS ,they stand behind their products ,if the first one was broken, their not going to send you another broken one. boonman
I have a Ricky in my bike. It has worked flawlessly. Have you checked to make sure the TORS is unplugged under the tank, adjacent from the ignition coil? If that is plugged in, than the bike may or may not start, but certainly won't run with any throttle. Did you hear and see it run at the dealer when they allegedly swapped in a factory stator? Dealers are shady sometimes when you bring them a bike with some aftermarket goodies on it. If Ricky says it is good, I would think it's good. I run my pickup gap at .020". Make sure the TORS is completely disconnected. you can't just unplug the parking brake. The brain module under the fuel tank has to be disconnected as well.
