I see alot of people on this site putting street bike motors in there shee frames. What is there purpose other than much higher horse power. More less, what are they used for? (duneing, drag or what)? Sounds awesome but i only trail ride and only do a little sand riding.

i have a cbr600rr engine in a raptor frame. most of the time these setups are used for dragging. i use mine for hillclimbing. i would NOT recommend it for trail riding or anything other than dragging or competition hillclimbing.

Mine is being built for a few reasons.

Number one is a prototype platform for a new company product. Got to have something before you can see what works.

Number two is its a persoal goal I've set for myself after putting it off for so long.

Number three is its giving me an education in fabrication. Something I should have done 10 years ago. The frame is 80%90% done by me. Most of the parts on the bike will be or are done by me.

Number four is I need a drag bike for the dunes. Mine is going to be a hillshooter only.

Number five is hopefully it will be some good advertising for my company. Got to be able to show off my skills/parts etc. If my parts are on something people will notice, even better. Hopefully I'll get mine complete before this next Easter. I really want it to be a head turner.

I wouldn't really call it rigging, I've spent alot of time to make sure nothing gets half assed. I made a post about this a long time ago, I finally got around to building it. The wiring is done, its just a pain in the ass to find the right pulsewidth to start it when you have to kick the hell out of it.

Im guessing by the looks of that turbo under the seat/fuse panel, it will be much more reliable, and easier to tune so he doesnt blow it up every run when he cranks up the boost.

Ive seen a video of a turbo banshee all over the place on the net where a guy goes 86mph up olds hill, but supposedly it is a nightmare to tune, and the guy that built it said he blew motors left and right, I guess he is hoping to make it much more rideable with the turbo onboard.
