1sreamin350 Posted August 24, 2005 Report Share Posted August 24, 2005 (edited) Champmanmd I bought a +2 swinger, rear shock, skid plate (that was'nt even in the box when I recieved it) and small misc. items. When I first made the deal with Mark he said the rear shock was rebuilt FROM ELKA. As soon as I installed the swingarm and shock, the shock started leaking oil from the valve. Just by looking at the color of the fluid it did indeed look brand new. So I got in touch with Mark about the problem, Mark said Elka would honor it since they did the rebuild. Turns out out Ethan the service manager at Elka said that after looking at it, that it was NOT done by Elka. Now I have to spend the extra 350 to get it done right, or I can charge another un-suspecting HQ member what Mark charged me for a brand new Elka shock Oh yeah Mark if you want to denie any of this, I kept all the pm's we had about this deal Edited August 24, 2005 by 1sreamin350 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not gonna cry over lil bullshit like this, life does go on.. Just wanted to give people a heads up. I will indeed think twice before buying stuff on here. I would bet money you are wrong on this deal, it's my opinion and ive dealt wth him many times ans sometimes its him sending me stuff for free. Elka's service manager that goes by the name of Ethan said that he was positive that they did not do the shock. He also asked who was the previous owner (Mark Chapman) so he could find a service form. Any-how nothin came up so thats where I'm at. Ethan also said that this was a common problem on used banshee shocks, somethin like the strut rod wears down to much and would not ever hold the fluid thats in there. I don't expect you guys (premium members) to take my side, its not even about that. It is about me bringing it to this forum's attention. This is what it is for. As for my character NYUK, yes I do like to look at the brighter side of things. I just don't see the point in letting it get me down. Oh yeah, John19, Its cool for sayin that about me. Whatever. I never been known to be one who is "full of shit". I see where this all headed lets just let this all pass, Its not worth me losing this cool site for my banshee, over $350. I paid $350 for springs (dual rate with ZPS), new bumper, seals, oil, nitrogen, etc... If youre having it built for your weight, thats fine, but dont try to make all of us believe that its costing you $350 for an oil seal. I'll be happy to refund you a reasonable amount for an oil seal and oil. I really dont believe your claim, sorry, but I'm an honest, reasonable man, not a kid, and will stand behind what I sell. Please tell me the amount of the oil seal and the oil and I'll pay that back to you. I think thats more than fair. Please, in the future, state FACTS and only FACTS when you try blasting someone on a forum. People arent stupid and can see through bullshit. There is NO ONE on this, or any forum that is going to believe that it is going to cost you $350 for an oil seal. I have gone way above and beyond what is necessary to make people that have gotten things from me happy. I'll do the same for you, reasonably.
