raptor 700

today i test drove a raptor 700, and i got to say i was impressed. if i were ever to buy a four stroke it will probly be this one. all i got to say smooth power , almost felt like a yfz450 but smoother.if you get a chance test one or maybe even buy one do it. SMOOTH AS FU*K.

I liked my old raptor expecially the torque, I wouldnt have minded having a new raptor but wouldnt want to have the first year, no telling what problems it will have.

no shit, but i heard from some resources  yamaha has had the 700 in the works for 2 whole years already. just waiting to drop it after the yfz450 was out a couple of years, i guess.

That's what I'm thinkin' too, just from lookin' at the frame & swingarm and EFI and front suspension looks like it would be damn good in the desert...

I have heard talk of them putting a 250 four-stroke motor in it. I know they have those yfz-250f's running perty good! Maybe the blaster will finally rip??

they just need to get rid of that new ugly ass 450 wolverine thing ... looks pretty damn ugly , but the wolverine 350 is still ok in my book...

just got done driving our new one....i don't like it...i think it's a piece of shit and the tranny is still really notchy compared to a banshee's....already recalls out for the efi controllers....but yes the power delivery is very smooth but i would still take a 450

Change the tranny oil. The trans on the one I rode was anything but notchy.

 

Also make sure the service goons adjusted the clutch lever to disengage the clutch.

The local shop has one, i didnt get to ride it though but setting on it my ipression is it is 100 times better that the 660.

if i was to get rid of the shee for another sport quad, the 700 craptor would be it's replacement, without a doubt but, my shee is paid for, and i've invested some in it, enough to not want to get rid of it yet. hmmm, then again if i traded the shee that would knock the cost of the craptor down considerably. oh shit, i forgot, the boss(wife) already laid down the law- no more toys, except for the 3 yr old and the newborn.

I looked at one the other day, looks pretty sweet but the reviews from the guys at the shop are hands down that the 450 is the better machine. I wish they'd have let me ride it.
