trex banshee
i don't know what size pilot is in it. and it idles perfect the only reason why i don't think it is lean is because it has ran perfect up until sunday night. sunday morning we went to the quary ran good. every sunday night we drag race all our neighbors and freinds in front of our house. it was then it started to run like shit(bogging and backfiring..ect.) got the backfiring fixed but not the bogg. i will try cleaning the filter then go from there. trex banshee
i will try that before we tear it down. we did a compression test on it and it only had 120 with i think 21cc domes. My neighbor just rebuilt his stock motor with stock head and it had 130. then we tested mine for the first time on my new guage it pulled 200psi i knew it was alot but not that much. Banshee~
Your running way lean. Im at 1000ft, sst's, K&N, and the lid off with 320 mains, 30 pilots, stock needle notch, and 2.5 turns out. Also, sst's like a fat pilot for some reason.
trex banshee
okay i will get some jets and try changing to what you said because i am 909 feet so pretty much the same. when we got the bike it had paul turner high revs on it.he didn't rejet it for the different pipes. could the bogging on the low end be it running out of gas? also where are the pilot jets located on the stock carbs? he can't seem to find them and i have never looked in a mikuni just keihen. In the stock Mikuni carbs you'll see the main jet as soon as you pull the carb bowl off. There should be a splash guard that sits underneath/around the main jet and this splash guard kind of disguises the pilot jet. Pull the plastic splash guard off and you'll see the pilot circuit right next to the main jet. All you need is a small standard slot screwdriver to get it out. Courtesy of BenBB....
