loganskinner Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 so im looking for another small mod for the shee, and i got to thinking, i just replaced whole ignition system on my 3000gt, and with a little tuning, i got a good bit of horsepower. so my question is, do new ignition systems for the shee really make all that much difference?are they worth the money if mine still works fine? sorry if its a dumb question, but ive never really delt with the banshee ignition and timing. race-a-holic Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 I have a dyna ignition.I was able to jet up more once I installed it.It seemed to help some. It's not going to make a huge difference.I don't think it's worth the money. If you're looking for every horsepower you can get, then get it.I'd say save your money for a good port job. That's when you'll tell a big difference. KASRacing Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Go wth a PVL thats what i use and they work good and ull see the difference in power more than what u noticed the difference on ur 3000gt KASRacing Quote
rocketboy Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 instead of upgrading the cdi ,upgrade the weakass stock coil ! it makes a more noticable power increase IMO ,get a Nology high out put coil and Nology wires for faster higher revs and lowend response Quote

The stock coils on it aren't that bad. They could be showing their age by now, but in good condition, the stock stuff on them is good. Timing on the banshee will make quite a difference. Improved spark energy from hotter ignitions or coils may make a little seat of the pants change. But the biggest difference you will see is from changing timing. Quote
Killdmycobra Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Does nology make the wires for our shee? Quote

bansheeryder_69 Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 I would say that the upgraded ignition is not worth the money but it does makie a little difference. Like RDZ350 said save your money for a good port job Quote
