bkabina
Measure from the center of the crank to the center of the lower rod pin(the bigger one).Do a crank you know is stock and then the new one.
fixitrod
If it's a wiseco they are pink in the center. That's how you know when to stroke her. Edited July 30, 2005 by fixitrod

strokersquid
it is pink in the center but so is the stock one. i just figured out though the webs are the same the stroker crank pin is further out on the web. the difference between the web end and the end of the pin is different between the two and the strokers is .09" closer to the web end x 25mm/in = about .2mm x2 per stroke = about .4mm or thereabouts. on this site i saw a crank with a blue mid thingy and i thought this signified a stroker. endofitall9
been there before, the rods will clearly be longer but the hard part is figuring what size stroker it is, if you don't know, i got the same replies from vito;s and wiseco about how to figure out what size stroke. "read the label on the box" "it takes a vanier caliper to measure it"...........good luck

racer
0.09" (ninety thou') = 2.286mm Rare. 399104[/snapback] oh rare, you and your math. lol thats nine hundreths. but it looks to be a 4mm stoker crank. also you can identify the rods by the numbers on the side. stock stroke and rod is a model H100 stock stroke 5mm longrod is H114 4mm stroker longrod is H129

Its all the same. We just reference thousandths rather than inches.
strokersquid
thanks for telling about the # on the rod. if i had known that before, i wouldnt have to measure it indeed says 158 on the rods
strokersquid
it says h129 on the box, the question was how could you tell the crank inside was actually a long rod stroker crank and not just a long rod crank. its hard to measure the thing with only a basic slide caliper type micrometer but the results are close enough to tell me its a 4 mm stroker
