I want to boost the power some but i want it to be safe for the engine and i still want to use pump gas. What size would be good? Thanks for the help. MEADOWS. sandman121383
depends on ur height above sea level along with the rest of ur mods. 22cc is like stock compression size i'm pretty sure. i'm sure someone who knows more about this will chime in. dlnoss and jim at passion help alot of people out witht hat sort of thing. also u can ask some local riders and builders. see what everyone else recommends/gets away with. i'm stock bore and stroke and my mods are in my sig. below and i'm supposed to be running 21's or 22's since i ride between 600 and 1000ft and i got 19cc domes in for added compression. i run pump gas and i put 3 oz or sometimes 4 oz of klotz octane booster in every gallon that goes thru my bike. the higher compression the pickier ur motor is about the qualit of fuel. so ask round. see what everyone recommends. whats ur elevation? and mods? dlnoss
If your elevation is less than about 800' you could 21cc with premium pump gas.

MEADOWS. 397090 I typed it into google, and some site said 800-1000. Is you timing advanced? Also doent porting lower your compression? FASTOYS
If you are at .060 bore and have just a clean up port i would stay with 20cc and +4 timing with premium gas !!!

MEADOWS. 397561 Pro-Design timing plate or a simple key will do the job. I don't know much about the key's because I have the Pro Design plate. BansheeBrian
Yeah, but I don't trust that key one bit.Rickey Stator has a great timing plate available. If you do go with a plate keep in mind that where the cases meet is the point you use to advance to your timng. The plate is marked for easy adjustment. dajogejr
This is what you want: http://www.rickystator.com/pages/Yamaha_Ba...ming_plate.html Buy the correct flywheel puller from Motion Pro...I think they're about 10 bucks. Do NOT use a Jaw type puller. It takes more time taking the 8 to 10 bolts off the side cover and the fly wheel off than it does to install this plate. Two screws for the pickup, 3 to hold the plate down, adjust it...and good to go. Very, very easy and worth it.
FOXBANSHEE30
Well anyone have a flywheel puller?? Or know a place to get one? so they arent hard to install?? When i split the case will i lose my oil? And what do u mean about splitting the cases being the point to set the timing?? Thanks for the help. MEADOWS. Dunsmoor86
You dont have to split your case, where the cases come together is what you use for a mark to set your timing.
FOXBANSHEE30
u mean like u put a mark on the case to know where ur stock timing is?? And then u advance from there? Sorry for askin dumb questions. Thanks for the help. MEADOWS.
