Stock suspension setup

Recommended Posts

I was wondering how you guys adjust the front shocks, does it require a special tool or something? How would you recomend setting up the front and rear stock shocks for jumping. Every time i launch off a dune or jump, my front end soars into the sky and usually land hard, solely on the rear wheels, and it sucks. I have tried numerous different setups and haven't been able to solve the problem, i even tried hitting the rear brake in the air and that helped a little. Any tips would greatly be appreciated. banghead

Yea theres a tool to adjust the front shocks, but they still suck. If your going to get serious about jumping get some elka, tcs, or custom axis shocks. Also, to keep the front end down haul ass up the dune and right before the top let off all the way and the front end wont come up on you.

for the fronts, just get your self a large pair of channel locks and grab it above the 'teeth' at the bottom of the shock were the adjustments are made.you may have to wiggle it back and forth a few times to get it to move,if theres a bunch of junk in there squirt it with some WD-40 or something like that.sounds like the fronts too stiff back it off one tooth at a time, till you get what your looking for.
