aschultz91 Posted July 23, 2005 Report Share Posted July 23, 2005 My friend has a Honda 400ex: lonestar frame withlonestar swingarm and +2 a-arms,axis shocks,k&n intkae and jets,wiesco piston,lrd 465 big bore kit,stage 1 hot cam,450r timing chain,pro circuit full exhaust,holeshot tires,dura blue +4 axle,renthal bars,lowering kit,msd ingition,alumin airbox,and oil cooler My banshee is a 1998 with 18 inch tall tires on 10 inch wide rims, 21's in the front,.50 over, lone star extended axle, airbox removed, dyno 2-1 exhaust, vito pistons, mild portjob, crank welded and trued, adjustable timing plate, boost bottle, reed spacers, and thats about it i think. we are both about 180 pounds almost 6 foot tall we were thinkin about racing 330 feet on pavement. trail rider Posted July 23, 2005 Report Share Posted July 23, 2005 You should eat him on takeoff, sounds like you have good bottem end, but they say not as much topend with those 2 into 1 pipes. enless your geared fairly high, he could pull past you at the end. I've raced a couple 400's (kfx, EX,) and both the riders are very good, probably better than me, and they stayed rite with my banshee on a drag on both pavement and in a grass field. Ok, back on track, there is a guy 15 min away from me that has a 400ex modded out the a@@ Its like a 440 bore with a stroker crank, the only thing stock in the motor is the case. aschultz91 Posted July 24, 2005 Author Report Share Posted July 24, 2005 i forgot to mention i had noss coolheads with 21cc domes... so you guys all agree if i have t-5's and mayby a taller tire i could beat this guy. cause hes willing to race pink slips or cash which would be nice to have. so if i race him i wanna make sure i have the advantage over him. he is pretty experience at riding and jumping but not drag racing. Drawback of em is he's done almost everything he can for power whereas your bike still has tons of potential. He probably knows this which is why he's trying to find a mildly modded shee to race for pinks. He's tired of his 400! If you raced him 10x, you'd probably win 6 of em.
