sycoracer911
THANKS!! Everyone's response was just what I was looking for...I do have a few defenses...My dad is a certified IHRA mechanic so having to do engine work would be a breeze, no need to go to a dealer, and I dont really ride that often and that crazy, I was interested because of the EFI and the computer work you can do. The one Im looking at comes with the entire computer set up to do all the updates to the motor...The YFZ is a great idea but cash is very tight, I was just working on selling the shee and using that money...and considering this is a banshee sight alot of the responses went both ways THANKS again! 394377 if its fuel injection you want.... you can get that for a banshee.... you can also get a turbo charger.... lol.... and an innercooler... i foudn them last night.... fuel injection.... im not sure how much it cost
superchicken
we had a dale last year.all the updates, different mapping, newer ecu.it ripped, and made my arms hurt for two days after riding it all day.i have to say it was the torqeyest bike i ever rode.to the point of discumfort.but the down side is in the cold of winter it was a pain in the ass to start.even with a new battery it needed to be on a charger overnight to start it.it would foul plugs on the first crank of the engine if the battery wasnt fully charged.and if it did foul it took a half an hout just to get to the plug,if you can figure out were it was.the fuel injection system is fairly simple.the fuel pump is actualy out of a ford ranger, and alot of parts on the suspention can bee swapped out with a 400ex....my she was more dependable than that dale was in the 4 months we had it. rjvoight
If you want FI, trade the shee in on a new Raptor with the YFI. I bet yamaha did there homework on this bike and the few internet reviews I have read have all been really positive. (not that I would give up my shee for a raptor) RJV Edited July 19, 2005 by rjvoight
loganskinner
i dont realy think i could trust a bike that comes from a company that started out by making mountain bikes and 10 speeds?? and from the people i have talked to that own one, i have not yet found a person who said if they could go bank to when they bought it they would buy a cannondale again?? but i havnt owned one so my oppinion dosnt realy count 394276 hey, yamaha started out making musical intstruments... at least cannondales come from a company that made something that you ride. i mean, theres 3 tuning forks in the Yamaha logo. but id still just keep the banshee. racer
i mean, theres 3 tuning forks in the Yamaha logo. 395114 it took me a long fuckin time to figure out what that was. good point though, if they put half the effort into their quads as they do their bikes, it would be a nice piece. they just need to start out a lil more simple. chevy's first car wasnt the Z06, so why try to do the same with ATV's. if they had done that from the start, i think they may still be around.
