80overShee
I saw a post a while back about porting stock reed cages. I am intesreted in knowing a little more about how to do it and the gains of it compared to an aftermarket cage such as Vforce 3's. I saw a tutorial on how to port the cages but know I am unable to find the post or the tutorial itself, could someone please give me some insight on how much can be gained from this mod and where I can find this tutorial again? thanks Edited July 17, 2005 by 80overShee

blueshee03
vforce 2's made little or no difference in our bikes over stock ported cages.vforce 2's are a waste of money, they eventually will go to shit the reed petals could come off the cage and get in your cylinders .we have seen this come close to happening.vforce 3's on the other hand are the way to go they are a great improvement over the 2's and out perform the v-force 2's by far.just giving my oppinion and experience with vforce 2's.go with v-force 3's

kenr74
I ported mine and noticed a gain. I've never ran V-force so I can't compare them but for free it was worth the time.
banshee tuner
Porting your cages is a great mod and it's free. I'm still running ported cages cause back when I did mine there was so many post on here talking about the slight difference in ported stockers versus delta 2's. I definately felt a difference when I did mine.
80overShee
Thanks for all the help guys. I'll be porting the cages next week when I return from vacation. Would do it today but I have a few four strokes I need to make look even more pathetic. I'll give the porting a try until I can get a set of V3's. I do not want to even try the V2's for the reason of the seemingly common losing of screws in the jugs. NOT something I wanna go through. racer
this is the best way ove ever seen to hack your cages to be exactly even. if you have access to the tools. http://pstuning.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=
