'shee Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 I am currently running Yamalube 2R. And I was advised to run a synthetic oil, i thought about running klotz. If i do is this the best oil for it? and what ratio should i mix it at? Quote
fixitrod Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 There is no best oil. Klotz does make a quality product that's for sure. If you change the ratio you run now then you may need to rejet. I run 40:1 with maxima products. Should be fine for Klotz too. Just run the gas out of the tank before adding the new fuel oil mixture and you should be fine. Quote
icecold_shee Posted July 15, 2005 Report Posted July 15, 2005 buy klotz benol, i just bought a 2000 banshee, previous said theres over 100 hours on the bike and its entire life has had klotz benol ran through it, so that is what im currently using, its hard to find, i had to buy it on the internet, bout 40 dollars for a gallon of it, plus, it smells good. kw04 Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 i also use the benol pretty good stuff. just make sure you drain all the gas out of the tank before you switch. Quote
Honda-sucks Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 32:1 w/Maxima semi-synthetic is what I run Quote
05bansh Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I switched from 32:1 Yamalube to 40:1 Amsoil Interceptor with no problems at all. Seems to pull strong. Not a huge noticable difference though. Quote
