I've been a 2 stroke fan my hole life but I have to admit these new 4 strokes are pretty quick. All my friends are running them (YFZs, Preds, Z400s ect.) and they almost had me talked into 4 strokin but I decided to go with the bad boy! Anyway, I'll be doin LOTS of reading on hear and I hope you guys will be for helpin me with my future ?s cause I'm sure I'll have some. P.S. race-a-holic Posted August 13, 2005 Report Share Posted August 13, 2005 (edited) Something you need to know:don't expect to beat all you 4-stroke buddies just yet.They do run good.Something to keep in mind:There is a beast hiding in that stock motor.Getting use to it stock would be a good idea.When you decide to modify it,just ask.There is a ton of people on here that will give you advice.As far as a beast in that motor,I think stock engines are putting out upper 30's in horsepower.There are some 350's making high 90's.What a joy it is when you clutch it,rev it,and then dump the clutch.Priceless.
