crbanshee Posted July 11, 2005 Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 i played with gearing alot..what type of riding do u do? i use a 13/43 in the sand im not as fast on the top end but i gain a bit of low end..in the hard pack i run a 15/39 and it flys on the top scary fast..but low end sucks. BansheeBrian Posted July 11, 2005 Report Share Posted July 11, 2005 It's sometimes tough to find a medium that works for both trail riding a well as draggin.I'd start with finding your best ratio for trail riding and then try out a few drags to see how you make out.The sprockets you chose for trail riding may work out in drag racing because you can start out in a taller gear.Your opposition may get ya in a 500ft rip but you may smoke him in 300ft. It depends and what you're up against. There's a sprocket ratio chart tumbling around the HQ that may help you.If i find it I'll post it.
