I have a set. I hammer them real hard and they just soak it all up. Great shocks.

Get them set up for a heavier rider than you really are if you ride hard.

I have a set, I didn't think I liked them untill I put my stock shocks back on, now I can't wait to get them back on. (Sent them off for rebuild) They are alot better then stock IMO

Thanks for the replies, now then for sticctly aggressive dune riding and hill racing I am looking at those or the elka dune edition. The elkas are from what I understand non adjustable and non resivior type, and also more expensive. So , between the 2 types (works dual rate resivior / elka dune edition) what would you guys go with?

thanks again

Elkas are nice, but I have never had a reason to get any other shock other than Works. They are cheap, rebuildable and work really well.

I have a set of triple rate no res that I am building up. just had the springs powdered and i'll send off to rebuild soon. I debating to wait for +2 arms first or maybe build them for +2 and just wait till I get arms. Or just buil for stock.

Decisions, decisions

Well , I think I'm going to get some dual rate non resivior elkas from alba, they run about $460 shipped, for riding in the dunes these should be all I really need, I get pics up when they get here!!

Elka dune edition use the same shock body and 5/8" shaft as the full on race types just more plush dune specific valving. for the extra doe id go wtih the elkas. they will hold up better between rebuilds in my opinion, and give you higher resale value if ever u decide to sell the bike.
