williamjernigan
If any of you guys work for UPS let me know because I think I start work next week as a preloader from 4am to 9am. Just curious as to how you like the job and how long it could take to get a driving position
wesw
i know some guys that work there. they will work you loading trucks for a while, and i think you have to move so many packages a hour or something like that. cant stand around. if a route comes available, you will probably have to wait in line for it. but thats where the money is at. I will start at 9.50 an hour with full time benefits, medical and dental. You get a 50 cent raise every year I think and once you start driving your pay goes up to 17 dollars an hour I think. The guy that dilevers stuff my way has been with them for 30 years and I know that he is make probrably like 28-32 dollars and hour.

Banshee17Racing
I've been a loader/puller for a year and a half now. Not a bad job, but you will be breaking your back if you do the job as fast as you're suppose to (summer REALLY sucks!) I think it depends on where your work, but you'll be waiting a little while for that drivers' job. I know of people here that have been loading for 4-5 years now, and still don't have enough seniority to be on top of the list. Good paying job, and great benefits.. Banshee17Racing
UPS has a five day shipping gaurantee in the U.S., if it's not recieved in five days, shipping is free. They also have a tracking gaurantee, if you can't track EVERY hub it goes through, shipping is free. BUT, I did just ship a steering stem out and UPS lost it. So I'll be getting my $100 back, just gonna take awhile to go through the legal B.S. And by the way.....FedEx loaders aren't paid for shit around here, without benefits.
