glamisrat
My banshee has a stage 4 porting,by a local shop (very large ports!). I was thinking of a 4mm stroker, but dont know if my portig would be compatible.I do not know the location of the ports, but have the capability of measuring them.I was wondering if by putting a spacer plate on the bottom of the cylinders I could correct the porting for the stroker? rocketboy
your really gonna need to talk to a good porter who can actually index your jugs, measure and see what they can do for you ,stroker porting is more complicated than standard stock crank and rod length porting ,i doubt your gonna be able to use a spacer plate and youll need custom cut domes and ports will most likely need dropped alot to work Edited July 5, 2005 by rocketboy
wayfst
yeah, stroker porting drops the port to match the top of the piston. most porting for stock bikes raise the ports. on my 7mm stroker i don't even run a base gasket, the cylinders are glued right to the cases to get the ports as low as possible.
