aschultz91
I own a 1998 Banshee wiht the airbox removed, Toomey t-5 exhaust, lonestar extended axle, Noss Coolheads wiht 21cc domes and thats about itl. In the future im lookin at some bolt on's and mayb 35mm carbs. I was wondering which porting would be the best for me. I ride on wide open trails like train tracks but also do some woods so i ride everything basically besides dunes. Here are the different port jobs trinity has to offer: TRINITY RACING TWO-STROKE PORTING STYLES Stage II Porting: A mild, all-around port job. You will see gains across your entire powerband with this porting. This porting is excellent for riders over 200 lbs. Suitable for: All-around recreational riding and for riders over 200 lbs. Stage III Porting: A little more extreme than the Stage II porting, giving you more top-end power. Suitable for: Aggressive dune riding, fast trail riding, and fireroads. Stage IV Porting: The extreme, drag-race only port job by Trinity Racing. This style of porting will give you the huge top-end gains necessary for drag racing. Suitable for: Drag racing. Pro MX Porting: This porting style is designed for motocross riders and people who spend most of their riding time in the bottom and mid-range. This is also recommended for riders over 200 lbs. Suitable for: Motocross racing, tight woods/trail riding, and riders over 200 lbs. Pro TT Porting: Similar to our Pro MX port job with more of a focus on the top-end power that is necessary for TT racing. With this port job, you will still maintain good bottom-end power while seeing significant gains at the top-end of your powerband. Suitable for: TT racing, fast trail riding, fireroads, and oval track racing.

locogato11283
FAST racing A&S SSR Packard Gorr Patriot ill tell you what tho, with your setup i think a gorr woods port would be perfect. my brother ran his with 33mm pwk, t5's, 18cc domes and v force and it fuckin hauled. it would pull a 17 tooth sprocket out of the hole like nothing. so you get the bottom end and with the right gearing you get the top end. plus the porting is about 250 bucks. for about 400 you can have it ported, bored and new pistons... cbn70
I have also heard that trinity is not the place to take yur cylinders to get porting done. What I have heard is they will make good power, but the powerband is small and it is then like a light switch, power on or power off. RNBRAD
If you want to find out about Trinty's porting, make sure your getting feedback from someone who actually has it. Most of these people just go by what they hear which is mainly he said she said information. I've yet to hear anyone that has Trinity porting actually disatisfied with the performance. I personally would use them again in a heartbeat. PM rocketpig on this site, he can help you with prices, shipping and make sure your experience goes smoothly. Look for a 2wk turnaround including shipping both ways. I don't think too many porters can top that. The power and ease of tuning is phenominal. Personally I'd go with the Pro-MX porting for your riding style. One thing I know that can be a little hard is find some different port/engine set-ups and ride them, find out what you like and what suits you best. Also make sure you get the pipe your porter recommends to compliment the port work he's done. Good luck and probably one of the hardest and most important decision you will make regarding your banshee's performance.
chapmanmd
I have had Trinity porting on several National race TT/ST Banshees. I have NEVER had any problem with anything they have done. Service has been great and I have always gotten what I have paid for. They have done both standard and Cheetah PV cylinders for me and I have been VERY satisfied. They arent cheap, but they do good work. Now that injury has ended my serious racing career, and because of homework done on here, however, I am going to Jim at Passion for my newest banshee endeavor. He's a straight up guy that knows the right questions to ask and wont stick it in your ass. Im shipping out a pair of cylinders to him this weekend for a Hot MX port, bore, and new pistons. I like what I hear from Passion and have read alot of good things on here about him as well. Im one of those anal people who does his homework before plunking down hard earned $$ on porting. I have nothing but respect for Trinity's work. One word of caution though, make sure you talk to a TECHNICIAN about your porting rather than the jughead that answers the phone. Hard telling what you will get. Make sure that you and the technician are CLEAR about what results you want and the work you expect, get his name, and make sure that you send a letter with your cylinders, including the tech's name, with everything that you two agreed to. Don't ask me how I know this... I wouldnt be afraid of Trinity if you take a couple of extra steps.
