JJBanshee
Well I tried another gauge, that was the problem. I have 125psi on my buddies gauge. My Snap-On gauge finally junked out. I think I will try to replace the valve on it, its 15 years old. signed: big gauge dumby.
spurdy
To test compression the engine should be cold, engine off, throttle open and kick until the gauge doesn't increase any more. 387258 Why WOT???? Compression is the same with or without fuel isn't it? Well.. maybe not....Is this the reason?

Well.. maybe not....Is this the reason? 387457 WOT is so you get all the air you can and not the fuel oil mixture. If you get the oil in there it can seal the rings and give you a good reading even though your rings could be leaking. And if you have to much liquid in there the reading could be higher than it should be. Keeping it WOT while kicking gives a more accurate reading for more than one reason.
