What are the tire restrictions (what you can/can't run) on most drag strips? 2nd what tires do most of you guys run on your 1/8,1/4 mile drag shees. and 3rd anyone want to sell me a set? race-a-holic Posted June 22, 2005 Report Share Posted June 22, 2005 (edited) most drag strips will let you run any tire. most asphalt guys run american racers or hoosiers. 384614[/snapback] The tracks I've raced at didn't care what type of tire you run.I run a set of stock banshee tires.They are pretty wore down.The tires NYUK suggested would be better.On asphalt,I'd suggest getting a wheelie bar.That way you can concentrate more on a good launch than trying to keep the front end from pointing toward the sky.I have only raced on 1/8th mile tracks.Maybe one of these days I'll get a chance at a 1/4 mile track.1/8th mile tracks is all we got where I'm at.
