race-a-holic
I just bought a blaster dirt cheap. No,it's not stolen.I plan to do some riding with it,but my wife is wanting to possibly get into drag racing.I think it will be a good one for her to learn on.She's not ready for the banshee yet.Any of you ever built a blaster?I know I'll get it ported, wiseco piston, bigger carb.,etc...It will stay a gas burner(no alcohol).Considering a CPI pipe.Who is the man when it comes to porting a blaster?Any suggestions? locogato11283
i would just find someone who works on them. maybe even ask a question over at PS. blaster engines are so simple that a 3 year old could take one apart and work on it. if you wanna make it pretty quick go with a 240 kit from someone. i just dont know who with porting, bigger carb and the right exhaust i think your wife will have one hell of a time on it. hell, stock blasters are fun...u just dont want ur friends to know u ride one... alcoholbanshee
Trenga racing is where to look for a 240 setup. That is how I would go. A blaster can be made to go real fast. It's all about setup and money. There was a cat in Ky a couple years ago that was running consistent 4.9's in 300'. He did'nt weigh 125lbs. wet I am sure that helped a ton. I know he hurt a lot of Banshee guys feelings! Vito's also has a lot of Blaster stuff.
race-a-holic
Don't tell anyone about me owning a blaster.LOL!! I'm building it for me and my wife.I'd build it faster(probably go overboard),but don't want it so fast that it will get away from her.She normally rides a 500 polaris scrambler. She really likes riding my brother's v-force so I want it to be competitive with it.I'm thinking a mild port job and a pipe.I want a pipe that is not all topend.Want a good power gain and a nice sounding pipe.I hear alot of people talking about LRD.Also heard good things about CPI.What do you guys think? bansheeryder_69
Go with an FMF fatty pipe, vitos big bre kit, bigger carb (vitos), and port/polish. From my experience Vito's kicks ass
race-a-holic
I talked to F.A.S.T.racing today.I've never seen a blaster he's built, but I have seen some of the banshees he's done. They were awesome. His prices seem reasonable too.Not for sure I'll get him to do the work, but most likely will.He sure can build one mean banshee.I only saw 3 banshees he has built.I only seen two of them run.I wouldn't have a prayer against them on my banshee. They were extremely impressive.Any of you ever had him port a blaster for ya?How about a banshee?
