you will be clutching alot to stay in the powerband and you wont like it. banshee17racing had eric gorr do a woods port and switched from t5's to pc's and he said  it was a huge improvement. he had instant power with his port job, and still pulled hard up top. he said he didnt have to use his clutch alot compared to the t5's. i mean dont get me wrong t5's are a good pipe, but they wont perform well in the area you ride in, they were designed for mid-top power, and in the trails you want good low-mid. im not bashing fattys either, they are an awsome pipe, i know from experience, but their are other pipes out there that perform better. dont limit yourself.

Nothing a couple mods wont fix...get you some vforce reed cages, lightend flywheel, and a nossmachine coolhead with some smaller domes(more bottem end). You might try some sst's, I really like mine. He said she said :shrugani: what do you say :rotflmao:

i still say i wouldnt go with t5's for the trails. you want a smooth powerband in the trails/mx, something more controlable, not wheel spinning when u hit the powerband. yeah those mods might help it out but why go through all the trouble when it can be solved with getting some midrange pipes. maybe he's got a certain amount of cash to spend, and if so i'd rather get it right the first time.

I ran T-5's for trails for years.I just put on fatties and love them!!T-5's are to much work for the trails....All you do is clutch the piss out of it.Also like above the hit is very hard.I also did notice less tire spin with the fatties....

im glad someone agrees. fattys, pt mids, dmc's, or pc's would be good pipes for the trails/mx, just depends on what type of power curve you want. fattys are good all around. pt mids are more of a low-mid pipe and produce alot of torque, best midrange twin pipe on the market. dmc's are also good for the trails too, with a decent price. i would say dmc's power is comparable to pt mids. pc's are also a good all around pipe too. i can speak for fattys because i've rode a shee with fattys before, real good pipe. theirs other people on the forums who can tell u about the other pipes.
