badcompany Posted June 11, 2005 Report Share Posted June 11, 2005 I love our lectrons. We run 34s that came from fast by gast but I would definetely call up Dennis Packard. We run a Packard Lectron on alky on one of our polaris and the carb came spot on. They are super easy to tune, the hardest part is getting the tops off. locogato11283 Posted June 12, 2005 Report Share Posted June 12, 2005 i run one on the cr500 banshee. tuning is simple once you understand how to do it. all the adjustment is in the needle and then mine has a powerjet on top for top end. bad thing is they are fuckin expensive...id check PS for someone selling them. From what I've read, they aren't as sensitive to temp changes, and...as you can attest, are much easier to tune once dialed in... Living in MI...you never know. It was 70s here one week, and literally we got 3 to 4 incheds of snow the next. Literally.... It'll be nice to just twist the needle a bit for the ice racing. Also...Loco, from what I've read, a conventional bigger carb will cause you to lose on bottom to gain on top. What do you think? 380765[/snapback] i played with the 40mm keihin and the 44 lectron when i was tuning it and the lectron had more power everywhere than the keihin. they are good carbs, just pricey as fuck.
