Brooke
id tear it down and gather your proof that you only bought the frame, not the whole bike that goes with that vin number. give the repo people all the info you have from the guy you bought it from. they'll appreciate the help and cooperation. PUSH THE THROTTLE
Somehow they got your name as the owner, I would assume you registered it or perhaps got insurance on it or the other guy gave them your name. When I switched my frame over they ran the vin on mine and gave me a rebuilt bike sticker for the frame. Separate the frame from the rest of the bike and make it disappear until this is resolved. Once all you have is the frame call them and find out what you can do to work with them. They should be taking the other guy to court and not repossessing it from you. If you say it was stolen they will ask why you didn Edited June 9, 2005 by PUSH THE THROTTLE

I wouldn't risk losing the whole thing. It sucks but not having anything would be worse.

Brooke
i guarantee they think you have the whole bike. tear it down then give them the dudes ebay seller name, ebay will get involved and find out who it is. you dont wanna be keeping it all built up, cause no repo man is gonna take the time to listen to an explination about it all. youre best bet is to get it done and dismantled and contact them before they do a rogue attack and come in the middle of the night for it.
