fastbanshee4u
1 Wiseco 4mm long rod crank 2 pistons that match, yes there diffirent pin height 3 cool head, with cut domes for stroker 4 a little port work to match 5 standard base gaskets Do jetting, and your flying. There are other combos and set ups,but rest asure they do not run as good or last as long.Been there done all of this.Good Luck You also dont have to spend $400 bucs to get your porting done to match either. A you dont have to have 34mm carbs.

You dont need the bigger carbs but good God do they make a difference in pucker factor when matched up to the right pipes for your porting.....Jim

Hey just curious , what kind of trouble have ya seen out of the Vito crank. We have had a couple of Wiescos seperate , even welded 4mm! But those are what i normally recommend too. dajogejr
Well....Jeff, you're going to be doing it for me...so, good to know. I was giong to send my head to boonman to have it shaved...but, sounds like it has to be recut anyways. Jeff...if I only do port work and fresh top end now, does it ruin your porting later if I decide to go with a stroker in the off season, say...Winter time? I was thinking stroker...but, now that I'm back to reality (paid some bills) I think I'm going to just shave the head for now, have FAST do a good overall aggressive woods/MX port, freshen the top end...and shortly after a new clutch assembly. Jeff, I'll be calling real soon.... If it's not like 100 degrees today, I'm tearing it all down to ship.

dajogejr
Get some rest...Jeff. 10,000 rpm and a dremel bit with no sleep is a bad recipe... I'll call you in a bit..
Ducman
dajogejr Stock head will work fine if you go with the base plate under the cylinders or you can get it machined to have stroker domes but it will cost a few bucks. You can get your cylinders ported now if your builder knows you you are planning to go 4mm later and you will need to get them reported for the 4mm crank. I would recommend just doing the 4mm setup now if thats what you really want or just stick with a nice ported stock stroke motor and cut out the extra hastle tearing down and dialing in new motors as well as the several hundred dollars wasted in pistons and porting for a temporary settup. Passion, I thought Vito's cranks were just wiseco hot rod cranks being sold under their name. I know that wiseco makes Vito's pistons, and when I bought a blaster crank from them a while back they told me that it was just a hotrod crank made for them to sell under their name so I assumed the banshee cranks were make by wiseco also. I have a wiseco 4mm hot rod crank not bought from Vito's, are they good cranks?
dajogejr
I'm gonna talk with Jeff. TO be honest...I like the way it runs now. It is just time after 9 years (4 or 5 of actual riding time) for a fresh top end. Might as well port it too. But, I need to have it running by the 4th of july weekend. Slapping on Cylinders and pistons is cake. I don't know if I want to and/or have time to get into the crank right now.
