Shee_Rookie Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Hey, Was thinking of switching pre-mix to Redline. Been using yamalube 32:1 and the back of my pipes are kinda gunked up. Are any of you guys using Redline? If so what ratio are you mixing at? I was thinking of going 40:1, let me know.. Thanks Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted June 5, 2005 Report Posted June 5, 2005 I use redline in all my bikes (2 strokes anyway) I run 50:1 in my mixers, and it works bitchin in injectors too, (LT 50, Yamaha zuma, Blaster etc.) My CR 500 is an 88 with stock top-end still in it. and my Banshee is an 04 (bought new in 03) you do need to break in a motor with non synthetic oil however after that it's great stuff. I also use the redline shockprook gear oil in the tranny, shifts nice and smooth, no clutch slip (that I can feel)and no problem finding neutral, and it's a cool blue color. and lastly I use the redline water wetter in the radiators... less smoke and the pipes stay cleaner than with Yama Lube Quote
Shee_Rookie Posted June 6, 2005 Author Report Posted June 6, 2005 Right on! I ran it this weekend 40:1 mix and seemed great, smells real good too. Maybe it was just me, but I think I was faster.. On the back it says you can run it anywhere from 16:1 to 100:1 WTF kinda range is that? L8 Quote
sheeweet Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 I've been running Redline Racing syn for 2 strokes ever since after break in. I mix 40:1. Still runs like a top so what the hell. Quote
05bansh Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I used to be a fan of Redline until my buddy siezed up his engine in his snowmobile using it. I just switched to Amsoil Interceptor from Yamalube 40:1 Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 I used Red Line for a while, but then switched to H1R. I didn't notice a difference performance wise, but the H1R comes in bigger bottles and since I only have the two to choose from I went with that................ Quote
05bansh Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 I'm starting to think its all about the amsoil......... Quote
FlatTrackinIt55 Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 i had a fresh top-end put in my motor and had it ported and new pipes and bigger carbs and was told to run castor927 at 32:1 and this was all in november of 2003. my motor runs just as strong as the day it was built. im a believe of castor927 Quote
05bansh Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 I've heard if it gets below a certain temp. like 40 degrees Castor 927 seperates from the gas. I dont know if its 100% accurate but thats what I have heard. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 All the guys around here run it in there sleds. seems to be pretty good. I havn't heard any complaints Quote
Dead Op Posted June 26, 2005 Report Posted June 26, 2005 I run Ams-Oil I prefer it the best, doesnt get all gritty when its cold, in the sled season it was -35 on tug hill andin we had amsoi in l em -No problems. Quote
