AirForceRulz Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I just wanted to let you guys know how much i like my LRD pipes i just got installed. I went from stock pipes to these LRD's and damn wut a difference. They sound pretty damn wicked (only my opinion). They are suppose to be a mid to top end pipe, but i think the low end still kicks ass. I would recomend them to people thats for sure. They fit pretty damn good too. My little brother in law got a set of Fattys on his 01 at the same time i did and my pipes seem to give ALOT more top end , the shop that installed them jetted mine with 280 mains i believe , and his got a 220 or 230 or something like that. So i would say mine flow alot better. Well anyways you guys are right pipes is pretty much a day and night difference from stockers. Thanx for all the info on pipes from the forums. Quote

Timmy301 Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 yeah I would say thats a little small!! You better have you brother-in-law double check those mains or he is gonna have some new pistons in there to!!!! Quote

FASTOYS Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Sure sounds like he could burn it up if he doesn't jet it up. 375050[/snapback] I AGREEE !! 260 minimum with lid and more jet without lid!! IMO Quote
03bansheeLE Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 yeah i agree too, the only mod i have right now that requires re-jetting is a k&n air filter and i am running 240 mains and i did i plug chop and its as close to perfect as it can get. Quote

. Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 are you running an airbox lid still on your lrd's? Which pipes did you get? The adjustable ones? By your speaking it sounds like you got their top end non adjustable pipe. With my airbox lid removed and running a foam filter setup I'm sitting at 310 with my LRD's. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 220 is almost too lean for stock banshee. go bigger on the mains or suffer the consequences!!! Quote
scottt89 Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 I have a Dyno Port 2-1 Pipe, Open Air box, Spacers, and carbon fiber reeds and run 240mains. Plugs look fine. I only do 12oz oil to 5gal. Quote
cudaz101 Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 He prolly forgot to mention that his Brother in law lives & rides at 8500ft above sea level... Anyways, at 2700+ ft with fatty pipes alone my bike was dialed in perfect with 280's as well... Now still fatties...No airbox and some other mods its at 320's and still seems lean at 2700ft...Where I was recently riding at 4-7K ft. it seemed to be about right... Brad Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 When I was running my stock pipes, stock carbs, boyeson reeds, k&n and holes drilled in the airbox lid I was using between 250-280 mains @ 800-900 Quote
