9603banshee
Curious where to start on a new cheetah cub setup?? I have the 65mm bore stock stroke setup built by Jeff Wendorff at F.A.S.T. Racing, consists of a Pro Design Head w/ 18cc domes, 34mm Mikuni flatslides, Boyeson reeds w/ stock ported reed cages, advanced timing, clutch work, wiseco crank, CPI inframes, wiseco pistons, etc....Let's hear where to start...also I ride only at Little Sahara in OK....thanks Edited May 24, 2005 by 9603banshee

locogato11283
man if only you had keihins i could really help you out. are the aftermarket mikunis using the same jets and what not as the stockers? if so i would start at like a 360 and work from there. cubs like fuel thats for sure. also, what kinda riding are you doing with these cylinders? dragging mostly? if so id lose the 18cc domes and get some 21cc domes cut. let that motor rev. those 18cc domes will drastically affect the top end. i know jeff knows his shit but my bros FAST cylinders use an 18cc dome and my old setup was damn near the same except with 21cc domes and mine would outpull his on top even with lower gearing.. 9603banshee
Yes, the 34's use the same mains as the stockers, Jeff recommended around a 350 but I thought maybe someone on here had the similar setup...My riding will be half and half...duning and dragging...thanks
9603banshee
Actually I'll probably have 38's on by the time I get her going on the dunes anyway, so if anyone knows a little more about 38's please add your input...any info is helpful....thanks again

No Limit Powersports
65mm stock stroke, stock carbs, vforce reeds, +5 timing, cpi inframes, 19cc domes dynoed in at 320 main and 2.5 from top on needle. Also I dont know how much a 65X54 will like a 38mm carb sounds a little big for a stock stroke.
01bansheeke
he can probably pull 38's on a stock stroke..pretty sure the 38's are the hot ticket on the stroker motors though. i would switch to some pwks. Must be a reason why everyones got em lol
9603banshee
I've talked to Calvin Pollet himself ( the designer of the cubs ) He told me himself that 34's where about the smallest carbs he'd ever use on any of the cub setup's even with the stock stroke (54)....so if ya don't believe the 38's will work even better...then call the designer of them and let him tell ya a little tid bit about them ....laters Edited May 27, 2005 by 9603banshee
9603banshee
I want some feedback....come on boys!!
locogato11283
what do you want feedback on? theres prolly only like 4 guys here that even have cub cylinders and most are prolly not running those carbs. most people here have said to run keihins but you want to run mikunis. looks like you got some feedback right there.
