sweetshee4312
hey there folks...im here in school and im having a debate about a 400 ex being able to out climb a banshee....he said 4 strokes have so much more torque that they can out climb one ne day......if ne one can provide some proof or personal stories that banshees are better, or not better...... BANJO
most of the time the only bikes that ever make it up a hill climb are banshees currect me if im wrong.. but most movies- like hevous 5 - thers just a bunch of sick banshees rippin up the hill.. just to roll back down and get riped apart.. its sad.. hard to watch.. poor shees.. i think a 400ex would flip over if you cam on to hard with it.. when a shee will burn its tires way befor it flips.. faster your tires are going the more traction you have.. banshees are faster.. and dont flip that easy.. my 2 cents.. bansheeryder_69
400ex all the way.....then BAM! your mom wakes you up Of course the banshee is going to smoke a 400ex in a hill climb Edited May 17, 2005 by bansheeryder_69
05bansh
I had a 400ex and sold it for my shee. Its a no brainer, the banshee always wins
OR_Banshee
I assume "he" has a 400ex? Of course "he" is going to say the 400ex will out climb a Banshee, but in reality there is no comparison between the two machines. Of course this all depends on what kind of hill climbing you're doing. If its in the sand, see ya later EX boy, but if its in the mountains with tight trails and steep inclines i'd say the 400 would probably be the better of the two. Dont quote me on that one, i only ride the sand. IMO, that's a pretty wack ass debate!
98bonerSTOCKshee
it's all rider input... I got a honda ATC110 that could make it up any hill in low gear range it ain't fast but it would out climb a rookie on a 400ex or a banshee.... If you wanna get there fast and know what your doing step on the 'shee.. the EX would be better if your on the side of the hill with a winding trail though trees, but My banshee still like them as long as it ain't a slow trail... kw04
my .02 the 400ex is to light in the front for some hill climbs. i can out climb my buddies ex anyday on my shee.
1800bigk
400ex vs banshee in a hill climb ahahaahahahahah thats a joke, a banshee will embarrass a weak ass 400ex
quick-z
The Banshee will EAT the 400ex
Brian060
momemtum also plays a major role in hillclimbing. Unless youre going 1/4 throttle up the hill, the shee will dominate!
locogato11283
in our hillclimbs my banshee will turn low 7 to high 6 second times up the hill. a highly modified 400ex with an excellent rider will turn high 9 to low 11 second runs...my 450 will turn high 7 to low 8 second times. bbluebanshee
As far as climbing goes...put about 1000 bucks into a pred 90 and it will outclimb a 400ex!! a better clutch, higher comp head, pipe, better rev box, and a ported cylinder. As my daughters riding abilities increase..i am going to do just that. I know it sounds crazy but it happens

I beat one last sunday at sand mountain (utah) that was running nos. What a joke! The guys wife was all saying' hes going to use his nos this time'! I was like' bring it'! No competition at all!!! I even dragged with 2 ds650's, they were both running nos, I smoked one of them and the other barely beat me. Good times
