Reed spacers!

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have reed spacers on their banshee? I was thinking about putting some on because they are cheap but don't know how much of a power increase it will give me. Is it worth it, or should I just do new reeds with spacers or new reeds without spacers or just spacers??? Some advice please?

no power increase.there to be used with bigger carbs so the bottom of the bowl wont hit the shifter mechanism.

The spacer will give the reeds more time to open and close if you put them inbetween the reed cage and the motor. That should give you some more bottom end. Not gobs just some.

Can you explain to me how adding reed spacers can cause the reeds to stay open longer? Please go into detail because I just can't picture how this could happen.
