locogato11283
That's it! Everybody's idea of how to ride is different. The people that typically bad mouth 4 strokes are ones that like to drag on 70+ hp machines and that's about it. Some people like to "meander like a 10 year old", as I said before and I wasn't putting them down. That's great, at least they're out there having fun and I would never give some one a hard time for riding slow or fast or anything. The idea is we all have a similar hobby and we go about it differently and as long as we all have fun, then it's great. hey i have a 70+ hp banshee and i have a yfz450. its those damn trx450's that are the problem jp with ya scott I've had a lot of people give me a hard time about getting a 4 stroke, and I know when they do it that they've 1) never been on one, 2) don't care about anything but how fast they can go in a short distance and 3) don't ride the way I do, but I just shrug it off knowing they have no clue how I ride or what I'm looking for in a machine. I once was against 4 strokes ( I was one of the ones who'd never been on one other than a 4x4) and I now realize how ignorant I was. 4 strokes are tight, thats all i gotta say. if you think differently wait till i finish the cbr600rr raptor. ill have you shittin your pants So, whether your on a bone stock 300ex or a highly modified PV'ed banshee, it doesn't matter, what's important is that you respect the other riders, their machines and how they ride and at what level they ride. Peace out 369514 how does that saying go? respect no one fear those with more power??? or something like that...
sredish
If it means anything, I've decided to try to turn the power up in the banshee some. Putting on some 34mm Mikunis, changing pipes to some more mid/top pipes, clamp-on filters... hopefully the portwork I have will work well with the carbs and pull some good power out of it, and still be somewhat smooth. We'll see...

Second, I'd like to see you running from the cops in the street. Third, if you actually do that, then obviously your too young to know any better... and it shows how you dumb you are. I'm not that old, but old enough by now. I've been through the "running from the cops" thing and I can look back and see how dumb I used to be. You have to look at the sales??? 4 stroke sales are so so so much bigger than any other machine has been in so long it's ridiculous. Hell, I own a banshee, I race and I went out and bought a 4 stroke, so I can speak from both sides, can you? I'm not saying anything against the original post. Hell, I don't even remember what it was, but the "still i hit top speed all the time on my banshee on trails" is really funny to me. You also probably think your the fastest rider around and can take anyone out.

Ducman
Cheetah Cubs are not dune friendly they tear the hell out of them. 370391 Yeah, I'd rather have some dune nasty jugs rather than dune friendly. Oilsmoke, not speaking from experience, but I think that the cubs would be awsome in the dunes. I would immagine that it is probably be like running an extreme dune or drag port. I definitly don't think that it would be the best all around dune setup, but it would be kick ass in the open dunes areas, drags and hill climbs. So I guess you'd have to decide if the trade off is worth it to you. In the OR dune trails that I ride you dont need to have the best low end response to get around. Its not like there are a bunch of split second throttle imputs in dune trails like there is on rocky gnarlie mountain trails. The main thing you need a quick responce for is the woops and you can alsways clutch it if the R's aren't where they need to be to get the front end up. I liked my stock pipes shee a lot beter in the dune trails but overall, now I am much happier with a 4mm dune port stroker. I don't know about the cubs, they might be a little much for the dune trails, but I doubt you'd be unhappy or unsatisfied with your ability to get around on the dune trails. ellison445
They are not trail friendly at all. I was ridding a set in the trails over the weekend and almost killed myself several times. The power comes on very violent, they are def a dune setup for sure. And I would love to see someone hit 75mph in the trails, would make a very good jackass video . Also running these on the street to outrun cops, not a wise idea..We at the hq will send some nice flowers for that pine box you and the shee will be in
BansheeBob
Well, that's when I'd say, "your only at 60% if you wanna keep up with anyone in a race." There's NO trail ride that compares to racing. Sure, a person can ride "fast trails" or whatever, but nothing, not even my "race pace" practice can compare to actual race conditions. And anyone that thinks they ride trail at a speed that would be competitive in race conditions are kidding themselves. 369485 I can ride trail at race speed and I don't think I'm kidding anybody including myself. If I choose to "go for it" on a trail I am doing it at my "race speed". Faster than some, slower than others. Trail speed and race speed is totally dependant on rider ability and if you think any differently you are kidding yourself. I can promise you that Ricky Carmichael or Doug Gust riding "fast trails" will smoke 99% of the people out there in any race. For the record I have raced at the highest levels on ATV's including stadium racing back in the day. How about you?
