Badshee22
I AM EXPERIENCING SOME HARD TO SHIFT PROBS, I HAVE ALL BOLT ON PARTS AND PORTING DONE. I AM INSTALLING A TUDOR SHIFT PRO KIT AND AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD MOD THE SHIFT STAR AND DO THE SHIFT KIT? IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD DO WHILE I AM IN THERE? 2 THINGS I HAVN'T DONE IS LIGHTEN FLYWHEEL AND TIMING ADVANCE. dajogejr
Shift Star, most definately. I just went on an all day Ride Saturday for the first time with my modded star, bit, big difference. Also...get the stator timing plate and get the flywheel lightened. All mods I put in last Friday and rode with on Saturday...I couldn't be happier!! There are plenty here that can do that for you...Boonman did mine, and he's a helluva fella.
ssanddemon
Check out your clutch basket & hub. Make sure you haven't got grooves that are hanging up the steels or fibers- It's a pretty common problem.
fastbanshee4u
After you install the shift parts, adjust the up and down play for the shifter.Get it centered.
MDS2106
if you run both ,hitting large bumps can cause your banshee to shift with out you wanting it to, the shift pro says you can run both but i wouldn't,if you do decide to try both of them don't get pissed when you have to pull that bitch back apart to remove the modded shift star, be sure and check the egg shaped bolt that adjusts the shift rod, if it is wore down it will not allow you to get the adjustment you need on the shift shaft Edited May 12, 2005 by MDS2106
