03bansheeLE Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 stclark said that the pipes will not make a 'noticable' speed difference meaning that it may make you go a little faster but not enough to really make much of a difference. Quote
race-a-holic Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I think shearers are more for ported bikes.I really liked theT-5's when my banshee had stock cylinders.Didn't like the T-6's.Just my opinion. At little sahara,I was using a 13 front sprocket and it was pulling extremely hard on top end and we was racing a really long distance.Easily at least a 1/4 mile. You can go fast with stock gearing, but some prefer taller gearing.I'm using RDZ(shearer) pipes. They are awesome on top end. aj77ta Posted June 12, 2005 Report Posted June 12, 2005 I agree. 375048[/snapback] If your bike is all stock rite now and you want to have a faster top speed you need to go with pro circuts or t-6s or fmf ssts, you dont want shearers or any other drag pipe because you dont have enough motor for them. Get one of the three pipes I listed and a k&n air filter a good jet kit and one tooth larger on your front sprocket., Forget the boost bottle, waste of money. Im sure that if you take that advice you will notice a huge differance and be quite happy. Just be sure that you get it jetted correctly so you dont fry your motor. Quote
05TWIN Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 If you're looking for pipes for a stock motor, you won't go wrong with Pro Circuits. My stock shee was getting dusted pretty badly on top by my buddies' 450s that are piped and jetted. I put on the PC's and a K&N with 280 mains and now I'm the one walking away. They make good gains from idle on up and once you hit third, they grab on and never let go. Definately worth every penny. Quote
