grounded
last time I raced a 450 and beat him by at least 5 bike lengths, the fucker went to get a gun . guess he was a badass when he saw me on the old ladies warrior, but when i showed up on mine he got served shovels full of sand off my extremes. what an asshole, that still fires me up thinking about that fuck knuckle
05bansh
The 450's are definitely fast. My bro on his yfz can keep up with me (not beat me) but he is not far behind me at all! We ride sand dunes only, I usually only beat him by 2 bike legnths if that. Although his is built a little more than others around here..... He has a yosh slip on, 44mm Lectron Carb, Pro flow intake. He just put a rev box on it too. I'm afraid for when he gets his cams. I better have my dune port by then!
cam2
Honestly,,I love the speed of my YFZ,ad definitely the handling,,,But I HATE the noise!! loud pipes are cool on two strokes but are annoying after a while on 4strkers.oh and the reverese sucks too!! 365437[/snapback] yeah they're quick, you better have a good running shee and be a good rider if you're going to beat them consistently. i agree i hate the sound of the 4 strokes, they're annoying as hell. BansheeJen
How far did ya'll race? TO beat one by that much what did you do race for like 2 miles, I have found that in all honesty top end as far as running for a long ass way is not the 450's forte. The banshee shines in that department. But as for launching a good pull the 450's definitely a competitor. What I liked most was you get it in the woods, and i'm not near as fatigued at the end of the day as I was on my shee. Riding XC that is a big bonus. And I noticed the same thing about the pipe too, cool when I first got it but getting annoying as hell to listen too.
Nighty
A long road? a yfz450 isnt going anywhere fast with its limited top speed. Gravel start? Maybe the raptor did get a good start and was geared high. so: yfz450 gets holeshot raptor follows banshee spins till 2nd yfz450 revs out in 5th long geared raptor passes yfz450 banshee pulls along and shifts to 6th gear ... sucky race conditions if you ask me... Dead Op
The road was about 1200 yards yeah it was long! In a 300ft drag tho on our field the yfz was only about 4 feet behind me , then we had a 500ft drag and he was toast, those yfzs tho i don not doubt them at all and i have one too, are good until middle of 4th gear then its just all more gas and no more speed. the raptor wasnt racimg in these evnts.
