DigglerD
My Banshee came with a single K&N cone filter on it and I have no idea what part number it is so I cant order a prefilter. I get sand in the thing all the time and need to get one ASAP. Anybody know a part# for the filter I need? One I get a prefilter, can I remove my air box (the lid is already off). Also make sure you get an adaptor plater for the filter or screw it onto the plastic runners that go to the carbs. I have a precharger on mine but im not gonna take the airbox off cause i ride in water and mud n' shit, ill just take the lid off. I dont have the part number but im sure if you have a picture of the precharger then you can make sure it fits, or just post the pic and ill tell you if it is it. Hope this helps, Darren

My question was not that I had a prefilter and can I take it off. It was that I need a prefilter, what's the part# and once I get one, can I take the airbox off. The K&N is already mounted, the adapter plate is already on... do you run the single cone? If so what was the part# for the pre-filter? 03bansheeLE
a foam wut? filter?
rider22
Thats it! Do they have a foam one? If you are sucking sand, you MUST get a foam pre filter. The nylon type like outerwears, will not help keep out the fine sand.

Wallynut
I think that if you are using the pro-flow with a K&N, you will need a different adaptor to run a foam filter. I don't think that UNI or others make a filter that size that you could "force" it to fit, so to speak.
MDS2106
it seems like someone would make a foam pre-filter that would fit over the k&n, i didn't realize how much shit the K&N lets thru, until i tore down for rebuid and ran my fingers up into the carb boots, very fine fine sand stuck in oil
Oilsmoke
I don't see many foam filters at the dune. K&N's with prefilter or outwears.
