white trash
Brand new plug WOT, i could only hold WOT in 6th for about 6-7 seconds before i ran out of road. This is the 1st time i did a chop. Looks about like 2mm, but kinda on the dark side. Its got 172 mains in now. CGL on the middle clip. The rest of the porcelan got a but dirty from my greasy hands but you can still see the band good. sredish
Whats the reasoning for the chop, your machine is bone stock right? You might could use another size on the mains but it doesn't look bad.

frocashmoney24
has the weather changed, that can play a HUGE difference in jetting. I would try throwin in a bigger main, and doing anouther plug chop
fixitrod
Is there any chance you created an air leak when you put the new reeds in. That could play a big part in it starting hard. Does it start easier with the choke on or not.

JArmShee
we have a similar set up I have 33pwk's My pilot is 52 and My screws are 1-3/4 out. starts 1st or second kick every time. I would go to 180 atleast on that main. i just jumped from 160 to a 178 and noticed a huge difference up top. I just ordered a 185 and well see how that goes. Considering your not to far off on the air screw and your pilot should be fine i would have to say the air leak would be the problem. Especially sicne it was starting fine b4 you had it apart. Whats your elevation? And how does it run once you get it started? Edited May 5, 2005 by JArmShee

Get this though, i just went out to start working on it and looking for an air leak. Figured id give a shot at starting 1st....2nd kick and she came screaming to life. Maybe it was being tempermental. Ill try again tonight after work and see if i get the same outcome. whats the WD 40 trick for airleaks, just spray it on, start and watch for bubbles or what? I would imagine that it would change the idle if not make the machine die when you sprayed the affected problem area. Propane works pretty good as well...Or anything else similar to either of the two. Brad
SICK BOY
Did you make sure your new reeds seat around the cages OK ? Even tho they were new reeds if the petals are warped or rasied from the cage, starting will be a bitch.
