Mod Banshee
Ok I am runing 14/38 on my mod shee and I drag race in 300ft. Do u think this is a good gearing for 300ft drag racing? Look at my signature for mods. I have not tryed out this gearing yet.

I think I'd try 13/41.Just my 2 cents.
Mod Banshee
The track is dirt and I use 20x11x9 Razr 2s
Mod Banshee
how about 13/38 or 12/
badcompany
Well, on our gas 350, we run 14/42 with pro-wedges, leave in second and end in 5th, and last race I was running consistant 4.40s with a 4.33. Now, I can't tell you what would be a very good gear to run since I dont know how strong your motor is plus Ive never ran Razrs, but its from my experiences my best times are turned leaving in 2nd, and ending in 5th. Our stock port banshee I was running a 13/39, I ran a 4.799 but I was having to slip the clutch hard to get it to not bog in 2nd, so next race I'll probaly switch to a 13/41. So my opinion is to gear to start in second, whatever that gear may be. Find some dirt thats similar to your tracks, and figure out where to start in second. That does sound good though, why change it if your winning every time? BTW, What were the rules for the trail mod?
Mod Banshee
Yes I did try to start in second and it would bog on the start. For trail mod u could not have any Porting and no Big Bores and u had to run pump gas. So Know with the port work It puts me in Pro Mod

Really you need to just keep going until you have what your confortable with. Does your track ever have any test and tune nights, or anything of the sort? 540alkyshee
Ok I think I am going to be Runing a 14/42 or 13/42 so what do u thimk about that gearing 364507 i run the same series or atleast i did ATVSPECIALEVENTS.COM Mike is awesome those guys put on a good show! now as for gearing i know what tracks you are running and they are all different i usually went with 14/41 or 15/41 and i launched in 3rd wide open ane ended in 6th about 75ft. from the line now i am making considerably more power than you are i would go with 13 i ran that stock and was running 5.3's all stock except pipes! if you got any questions let me know also i am selling my bike i just can't afford to race it so why waste it

540alkyshee
what u think about a 12/41 367915 i would start with the 13/41 that worked real good for me when the lights start to fall pin the throttle get up on the tank and leave in 3rd the less you have to shift the more time you won't loose get your shifting down good i got to the point to where the tires never stopped throwing the roost and i have to use the clutch to shift! don't let off! i might make it to a race or 2 if i don't sell it i hate to do it i really don't want to i have owned it since it was brandnew and it stayed stock for maybe a month tops! but hey we wouldn't buy them to leave them stock now would we? i think that gearing is a little low for that it will rev to quick and you will have to shift quick the thing i have learned when i ran that gearing is that the motor does not pull as hard and it slowed me down actually talk to gordy about it he can explain it to you. a 2 stroke is weird the more you load it without bogging it the harder it pulls! i am running 4.8 right now on a stock stroke bike with some "secret" porting on alky and its not tuned right it keeps dropping a cylinder but i think i got it straightened out i am gonna work on it more next week when i get home. hopefully i can come run with you guys i'll take it easy on you lol!
