williamjernigan
How would a 610 cheetah motor work for drag racing 1/8 of mile. What time would I run with stock frame but stretched.
bbluebanshee
It depends on how well the bike, and the motor are tuned. As well as rider capability. A very well tuned bike with a great rider will turn high 3's to low 4's. in 300 feet
hittintrees srh
610???? holy shit- what ever u run its gotta be f**kin fast
broke
If you manage to only run low 4's with a 610, something is seriously wrong. Just the times some are running with 350's now is amazing.
1800bigk
1/8th mile with 610 cheetah which I think has a +16mm or + 20mm crank will get into the 5 to 6 sec range with proper chassis. There is a 14 mil dong 5.8 in the 1/8th over on ps. 300ft dirt drag is really not long enough to get those big motors to really shine properly. that is why some 350's with proper setups are running 3.77 and a 3 cylinder +10mm stroker cheetahs with similar setup is running 3.6. Chassis setup is so important in drag racing, possibly more important than horsepower. Edited May 2, 2005 by 1800bigk

alcoholbanshee
You would be better off investing in a good chassis first! Then spend the money on the motor. Set-up is everything with these bikes.
badcompany
I personally would build a smaller motor for 1/8 mile. Thats a long ride for such a big motor, but it might work good. Properly set up it should get int the mid to high 5s i would guess if it was set up right. I know of a few 350s running 6.30s and 6.40s. Koolguyson
smaller motor on nitrous would be better for you. Hard to hook up a big motor on asphault. And when you do it often will break stuff. It takes about 120 true hp to break a tranny on asphault
fixitrod
If you are seriously looking at drag racing like that make sure you check out the atv drag racing association page and www.planetsand.com for some info from people who race weekly. They can give great advice also.
