Best way to flush bottom end.

Doing a new top end on a friends Blaster, Kerosene good to use to flush bottom end out?

I've heard of people using kerosene but IMHO it's best to split the cases. You never know what might be wedged in a crevice that could pop out and fubar something in the bottom end :shrugani: Going through the bottom end shouldn't take but a few hours to tear down, clean, and re-assemble...

there isnt much area in a blaster engine for stuff to hide.....I got a blaster that grenaded a piston pretty good, crank wouldnt turn over because it was wedged with a piece of the piston.

Got it broken loose, got all the stuff I could out of it, flushed it out with some kerosene and threw it back together with a new top end. Thing got the shit beat out of it for over 2 years trying to keep up with a 250R, banshee, and a raptor. It finally wore out and I put another top end on it and sold it.

You could tell it was way lean, the exhaust side of the piston basically disintegrated until it reached the first ring landing and a chunk gave away and that was it. The pieces that were in the exhaust were so brittle that I thought I could get away w/flushing it, but if it has been in you fella's experience a bad idea not to split the cases, I guess I will go that route. Any more input?

i broke a reed in a motor and ended up using tranny oil ATF to flush all the shiz out, just fill the crank case, cranked it over everything stuck to the crank so i could get it out, then i just turned it upside down, and blew it out with a presure washer. no problems with it so far.

I did the flip it upside down, then steam clean it, carefully a few times. Then I flipped it right side up, filled it to the top with diesel, worked the crank easily back and forth, dumped it out. Did this over and over about 4 times. This was on a CR 250, but its the same principle. Good luck, I'd split it if I had to do it again, my Warrior just got split tonight.
