Wallrat
Ya it really depends on where you want your power.

locogato11283
i would say t5's or rockets. i have heard really good things about the rockets on mostly stock engines. i have personally ridden t5's on a stock bike and they will rip. those would be my 2 choices. did you already get an aftermarket head? waffles
no aftermarket head yet.....what do you guys recommend...i want to use pump gas...93 octane..i am down to the toomeys5or 6 or the rockets....i like the toomeys because they will give me a jetting map on where i should be close to...if i buy the rockets i will just get the pipes and then i will have to guess at jetting.....i have no idea where to begin..although i can read a spark plug i just would rather be close the first time... 05bansh
if you don't envision porting yoru cylinders in the near future, get the t5's. 360192 I think you would be reffering to the T6's if you are not going to port. T5's if you do plan on porting. But honestly, I've rode ported banshees with T5's, thier fast, but nothing pulls harder on top than CPI's. I've never rode on Rockets but I am sure they are very similar.
dajogejr
Rocky Mountain ATV has the T5 Toomey's, Chrome...for cheap. I'd get the Toomey Jet kit from Magic Racing. It's on their website in the clearance section... If you plan on removing the air box...you'll have to go bigger on your mains then what is included in their jet kit. If you plan on only removing the airbox lid and snorkel...they're mains should be ok. If you look at my sig, my motor is bone stock (for now... ) But, without the air box...I'm running 310 mains and 27.5 pilots. Pulled my plugs yesterday, and they are perfect. Light chocolate...perfect! The kit comes with 270 and 280 mains. Too lean for me. I had 290's in before I even got their kit. I bought it because I called Toomey, and they wanted 25 bucks PER needle, without anything else. The whole kit including needles is only 29.95 from Magic... I'm waiting for Ray to get some Rocket Pipes in so I can test 'em out. But, Toomey T5's are a great choice for stock and especially ported motors. The stock shee pipes are so terrible and restrictive...just about any pipe you put on is going to make a world of difference! Don't forget to open up the airbox a bit, though..more out, get more in!!! Jet Kit: http://www.magicracing.com/product.asp?itemid=1340&catid=75 Pipes/sliencers: http://www.rockymountainatv.com/Product_Sh...+T%2D5+Pipe+Set Heck...if you wanted to get steel finish...for about 400 bucks for pipes and jets, w/ shipping...you'd have yourself a heck of an improvement!! race-a-holic
i prefer a glass pipe. 360308 I've tried the fmf fatty,Toomey T-5,and T-6.The fatty was ok.The T-5 is the absolute best of the three.I hated the T-6 because they don't pull good on top end.Don't believe the articles in the magazines about how much better they are than the T-5.I actually traded the T-6 to get the T-5.Great decision.Get the Toomey needles. The T-5 works great on stock or mildly ported cylinders.Don't sound like you're interested in a drag port anyways.Definitely get the T-5's.Also get rid of the airbox and get the clamp-on K&N filters. racer
Get the Toomey needles. 360343 arent the toomey needles just stock ones for a blaster?
dajogejr
arent the toomey needles just stock ones for a blaster? 360352 Not sure...beerman. I've never jetted/taken apart a Blaster carb. I can tell you they are much longer. They extend fully into the main jet. If you ask Toomey, Stu will tell you it's a custom ground dynojet needle made for Toomey only. While Stu is a very nice, helpful and respectable guy...he has a business to run, and needs to make money. So...I can't tell you if it's a blaster needle or not... IF it were my guess...I'd say it's not...
