03'LimitedEdition Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I need some new tires so I can smoke my raptor buddies. They beat me every drag because I can't hook up. I spin the tires through the first two gears. So I was wondering what the best set of tires is out there for the banshee. I tried some ITP Holeshots the other day and I loved the extra traction and stability they gave me. But, they also broke loose when I wanted to. Quote
super88_banshee Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I wish i only spun through the first 2 gears But my brother got some kenda klaws for a 400ex , and they looked like they had some damn good tread on them!!! Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 klaws are good but i have found the knarlys to hook harder. either tire will help tons over stock but i really think knarlys hook better. Quote
trail rider Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 what kinda dirt are you racing on? is it like real dry and hard pack or is it lose or tacky? I just got me some maxxis surtracs and those things hook up like nothing else. With my bandits I would start out in 2nd and I would still spin off the line all the way to 3rd gear on my dirt drag track, ( really hard pack, dry, dusty) Then when I tried it with my sur tracs in 2nd gear that thing jumped off the line ridin' a wheelie untill I let off the gass and shifted to 3rd. And I think now that this thing hooks up so easy that it is the reason my rear sprocket is starting to chip teeth they say these are mainly mud/snow tires, but they can slide when ever I want them too and they are awesome on trails and hills Quote
Tim C Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 I just put a set of Maxxis IRazrs on my bike and they hook up really good. They are the best I've tried - where my others would spin these things stand the bike on end. Quote
Ducman Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 Maxis I-Razr, Razr II, or ITP Holeshot HD are all good tires with plenty of traction, my next set is going to be the I-Razr. Quote
pashee Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 last set i got were bandits. Not too bad on dirt but they seem to spin bad in grass Quote

locogato11283 Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 wut kind of knarlys, there are different kinds arent there? 363965[/snapback] umm they are the regular ones. the older ones. not those new mx or xc ones. the lugs are close together but when you cut them they hook even harder. if you leave them alone youll get more slip out of them. 03bansheeLE Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 so wut kind of tire would have the best traction on like dirt trails and grass but wont wear too much on pavement. I-razr,knarlys', razr2, any others? Quote
quick-z Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 I run cut turf tammers they seem to hook up pretty good Quote
